Update 1 New Home

Man this year has been a busy one. We moved into our home in October. The construction started in July. It was a thrilling process! We’d been trying to get a home for a few years. When we got approved for this new construction, I honestly didn’t believe it. I swore that it would fall through. I tried not to get too excited.  As our closing date drew closer, the more excited I got. I’ll never forget the feelings sitting in that office signing the papers. I was thrilled, scared, and relieved.

We left the office with our keys in hand. I held the keys all the way to the house. My family swore I would cry. I thought they were wrong. I opened the door walked in looking from room to room and then I started crying.

Growing up My father was in the military and we moved constantly. We never had a home of our own.

So knew I always wanted a home for my children, something that they can come back too. I think that’s why I cried, I was going to give them something I never had.

We moved in, in the middle of October, went ‘trick or treating’ here in our new neighborhood. When we got back all three kids said that it was the best Halloween ever.

Two weeks after we moved in we got Zeus, our little doofus. Zeus1

Of course, he doesn’t look like this anymore 🙁 He’s gotten so big.

Now all that’s left is to personalize our home. And you my lucky readers get to join us on that journey.  I’ll be posting before, during and after photos as we move through the home making it ours. We aren’t sure what room we want to start with yet. I was thinking the kids bathroom. Hubby wants to do the one of the kids rooms. What room are you interested in seeing?

Yes, I will even post the screw ups. I’m not going to sugar coat anything or post only the happy, good things.
