Quick Arts & Crafts

So this weekend we went to Target to get a few things. I saw this Real construction kit. Thought it was kinda cool, so we got it.  Dipper and Pinky wanted to do it this morning. So this was our arts and craft for today.

It has materials in it to make a biplane, sailboat, car, tool box, bird house, and a speedboat. The instructions for the biplane and the tool box are included. The rest of the project instructions can be found on their website.

This detail saw is hard plastic material. It doesn’t cut fingers. It did cut the foam pieces, I had to take scissors to the pieces for a smoother cut. The hammer is made out of the same material.  It came this “Nails” they were  made out of the same material as the hammer and detail saw.

There is a hammer for the nails. Although it didn’t really work that well. So, I ended up just pushing them in. I let the kids have a little fun hammering.

LOL his face. He really enjoyed that.

Here is the end result. Dipper immediately wanted to spin the front.

Then he broke the axel and propeller off.

No biggie. Just pushed it back on.

So final thoughts:  It was a fun little project to do. Took about 15 mins. Kids had fun with it.  We only got 1 toy out of it. We do have some left over pieces, kids can use their imagination to make something else. It was 10$ for the starter kit, there are refills for 5$. Probably won’t buy this again. Unless the kids use their allowance for it.
